The next stop up Milwaukee Avenue

Avondale real estate

Brick bungalows and multi-units that still trade below their Logan Square neighbors, with more lot and more garage than closer in.

Avondale's housing is solid and practical: Chicago bungalows, brick two-flats and three-flats, and a growing number of renovated single-family homes, with industrial buildings along the river corridor finding new uses. Lot sizes and garages are more common than closer to downtown.

Getting around: the Blue Line's Belmont and Addison stops, the Kennedy Expressway, and Milwaukee and Elston Avenues for bikes and buses. The river and Addison Street give the neighborhood its edges.

What we do here: buyers moving up Milwaukee Avenue for more space, multi-unit investments, leasing, and development on the larger lots. We will tell you plainly where a bungalow's value is, and where it is not.
