Belmont Cragin's housing is brick bungalows and raised ranches, two-flats, and small apartment buildings, with commercial corridors along Belmont, Fullerton, and Cicero. Hermosa, between Pulaski and Cicero, is smaller and quieter, with frame and brick homes and two-flats on tree-lined streets and the Bloomingdale line as its southern edge. Lots here tend to be wider than closer to the city, and garages are the rule.

Getting around: the Fullerton, Belmont, and Cicero buses, the Metra at Grand/Cicero and Hanson Park, and the Kennedy at Belmont. Riis Park and Blackhawk Park are the big green spaces.
